CaRP's Amazon.com associates example code has been updated

The Amazon.com associates example code has been udpated to work with Amazon's latest changes to their web services API. A few of the changes include:

* Uses Access Key IDs instead of Developer Tokens or Subscription IDs (neither of which is being issued to new associates anymore since they're not used by the latest API).

* Has built-in support for searching non-US Amazon sites.

* The number of characters displayed from each review is configurable.

* The example page lists available search indexes (Books, DVD, Electronics, etc.)

* Uses the same XSL template for both the single review and multiple reviews cases.

Here's hoping Amazon continues to support this version for a long time--digging through their documentation to figure out some of the changes, and updating the XSL template are not my idea of a good time! Enjoy the fruits of my labors!

But carps can notwrite in a nice Hmtl page , it's only p h p ... or java , worst

and use
require_

That's something search engine dont like because use for Spam

Why dont you have a html parser ?

I have no idea what you mean. CaRP can output HTML just fine, has nothing to do with Java (but it can output JavaScript if you choose), and search engines can't possible know whether "require_" (I presume you mean "require_once"?) is being used, because that code gets executed and replaced by it's output before the search engines get a look at it. And what do you mean by an "html parser"?

I love carp
I love the amazon best seller feature
It blasted my website to the first page in msn for my keyword
I made some mod's to the code so it displays books according to the category of the page- different content on every single page!

Is there a way to use the Amazon Associates code within a perl based page?

I need help, hopefully you have the solution...

Is there a way to have CaRP output to a separate file that I can include in a <script src="myfile.js"></script> instead of <script src="myfile.php"></script> or have CaRP output to a PHP variable so I could use the PHP file wite or have the variable inserted directly into the phpBB template? The problem is the WEB application (phpBB) that I'm using it in disables anything that needs server side processing such as <!--#include virtual="myfile.htm" --> or anything like PHP or ASP. If CaRP can do either of the above, I can cron the php file in my server and use <script src="myfile.js"></script> to include the file or insert CaRP directly in the phpBB templates.

Thanks,
Wayne
